I didn’t get to the gym for the WOD, but I ran 2.5 miles without stopping while the kids played at the park. I’ll get back to the prescribed workouts soon.

I used 2 30lb dumbbells and did towel pull-ups alternating every 2 reps b/t middle, right side up, and left side up. Was breaking every 2 reps, but then every one. Last 2 sets I began using slight jump assistance. This one really hurt my forearms and hands. Could have squatted more, but couldn’t have got it up to shoulders. I’m not sure how much difference this makes b/t barbell and dumbbell. Probably quite a bit.

I really can’t do any of the stuff in today’s WOD yet. So, I ran a slow, leisurely 5 miles. (47:02)

  5. Roy says:

My hands were fried after the towel pullups on the first round. So i did:
    rd1
    135HSC and 36 towel pullups
    rd 2-5
    115HSC and 36 towel pullups
    Total time 24:19

  6. Jennie 27/5'7/137 says:

Holy crap, I can barely make my hands and forearms move. I did not expect it to be so difficult.
    rd 1-2
75# HSC and 45 single band assisted pull-ups
    rd 3-4
65# HSC and 21 single band assisted pull-ups
    rd 5
45# HSC and 21 single band assisted pull-ups
    21:08, All broken
I totally wanted to quit after round 3. My grip was shot and I was already tasting “blood”, but I had literally 7 people standing with their hands on their hips watching me like I was some sort of circus show so I would have rather puked (on them, of course) than stop at that point.
