Main WOD . . . Pull-ups

Posted: January 8, 2009 in Uncategorized

Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-ups

For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.

Post time and number of sets to completion.

Well I screwed this one up “Royally.” I did all 10 in 19:40 with a 50lb db( no access to 45lb). But i only did 1 set correctly according to the main sight had to let go and rest grip due to fatigue.

Was it just me or did that get ridiculous about half was through?
    17:42 with 29 sets
*I used a waist chain belt for the weighted pulls so I had to get off and drop the belt.
Had to drop to 35# in round 6 b/c I could not get my chin over the bar any more. Had to break up the dead hangs about the same time. I was able to get the kipping pulls in one set. I never really got fatigued cardio wise but my arms were hammered!
