Tons of announcements today, pay attention!
1. Don’t forget about the Meridian Baptist Church 5K this weekend. They’re raising funds to go on a mission trip this summer.
2. We’re placing a gym order for Paleo Kits Monday, May 21st. Please have your orders on the board at the gym by the end of classes on Monday, May 21st.
3. We will be open for only 1 workout on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th. We’ll meet at 9AM for a Memorial Day Hero WOD. Everyone is welcome at the one class for the day regardless of what class you normally attend.
4. Beginning Tuesday, May 29th, we will have a new schedule, including several new classes. Be sure to keep an eye on the class schedule link for updates. I will get it updated with the new schedule very soon! We’re going to ask that you do your best to commit to the classes you wish to attend so that we can make room for new athletes. We are working towards online scheduling which will eliminate excessively large classes and help the trainers be better prepared for class. We’ll keep you updated as that progresses, but until then there will be a large schedule posted on a wall at the gym soon for you to see and sign-up for classes.
5. CrossFit for Hope fundraiser will be held at CFJ on Saturday, June 9th. Heats will start at 10:30AM and continue until everyone is finished. WE WILL NOT BE HAVING NORMAL 9AM AND 1PM WORKOUTS THAT DAY. Come and support the athletes until it’s your turn and stay and support those that go after you. Bring your family and friends to cheer you on or to join us in the fight against childhood cancer. We will be accepting donations at the gym beginning this weekend through the day of the event. If you don’t register as an athlete with CrossFit HQ, please plan to make a donation through CrossFit Jackson in whatever amount you can. No amount is too small. We try to only cover 2 major fundraisers a year as a gym and our next one will likely be 31 Heroes again in the fall.
6. Our next fundamentals class scheduled for May 19-20 is now full! The next one will be on June 9-10.
7. We are planning a CrossFit Jackson trip to float the Buffalo river on Saturday, June 23rd. The gym will be closed for both classes that day. Anyone and everyone from CFJ is invited to attend. We will need a head count for reservations by Friday, June 8th. The cost is right at $40 per canoe. You’ll pay the day of and they only accept cash. More detailed departure times, etc will be given closer to time.
