Metcon

Teams of 2 (1 athlete works at a time)
40-30-20-10 of:
Power Snatches (95/65)
Box Jump Overs (24/20)
Immediately followed by:
40-30-20-10 of:
Overhead Squats (95/65)
Toes to Bar
Immediately followed by:
40-30-20-10 of:
Wall Balls (20/14)
Burpees

Note: For those that are interested, we will start a second heat of this partner workout 15 minutes late to allow for Deadlift testing.

Additional Work

Deadlift (15 minutes to complete)
10-8-6-4-2 for max load
The goal is to go up in weight on at least one set from the last time we did this.

    36:10 with fellow geriatric CrossFitter Pete “The Beast”.

    95# bar. 24″ jumps. Snatches scaled to power cleans. OHS scaled to back squats. 14# wall balls. Pete carried the team on wb’s and burpees.

    Work pretty evenly split except for OHS…I struggled on those so Sara did more reps.

      I modified portions of the WOD due to pec muscle😕. Super jealous watching Stef do the heavy lifting!

      Power snatches –> one armed KB swings
      Box jumps –> Rx (these were fun!😃)
      OHS –> HBBS 65#
      T2B –> supine (high as my toes could reach)
      Wallballs –> air squats with 15# ball
      Burpees –> Straight armed/prego burpees

      Fun times with Stef! You rock, girl!👊

    WOD: 27:48 w/ Matt Z. I used 75# bar for PS and OHS. Matt used 95#.

    Paced Jay on his first ever run over 4 miles!
    He ran a 1/2 marathon on nothing but CF and an iron will in 2:00:03!
    Faster than around 55-60% of the 764,000 males than ran a 13.1 last year!
    Perfect negative split on a 9:1 walk/run strategy. 60:52 first 6.5 miles and 58:27 the last 6.5 miles.
    Incredible job, Jay! Glad I had the opportunity to watch you do it!

    (2:12 run time but I had to stop at a gas station @ 5M and taco bell @ 10M for restroom)
    1st 5 without stopping in 48 min, got to 9 mile water with 2 stops to stretch hip in 1:28. One additional hip stretch at interstate turn around.
