I was introduced to CrossFit by my husband Jayson when he returned home from Afghanistan. I resisted his relentless requests to try it out for 11 months as I was already doing the typical cardio/segmented weight lifting program with “good” results and didn’t see any point in changing it up. I finally tried it and was hooked within a week. I’ll never go back to the time consuming program that was obviously inadequate when compared to the progress I found doing CrossFit. I’m a stronger, faster, better me and I love it!
Medically I’ve had half of a lung removed, back surgery (due to a high school sports injury) and 2 shoulder surgeries. If I can CrossFit, so can you! Outside of the Sport of Fitness, I enjoy adventuring racing(orienteering, mountain biking, treking, canoeing), Tough Mudder style obstacle racing and running 5K’s in support of local organizations.
