About Coach

I have always been an active person. I played sports in high school and intermural sports in college. When I met my husband in 2002, he was a runner so we started running together and that was when I decided I wanted to run long distances. We have been running the St. Jude half marathon together since 2003.

When I became a mother to 3 kids under the age of 4, it became my alone time! I had not been able to lift weights or integrate any weight training into my routine. I was just a runner. My twin sister started CrossFit and loved it and so the competition began!

Turning Point

Enter my sister who was my turning point in my CrossFit journey.  She now had her L1, and suddenly, the competition was on. What started as an introduction to incorporating weightlifting into my routine quickly turned into a fun competition between us—one that helped me to push harder, lift heavier, and go beyond what I thought possible.

Motivation & Passion

I thrive on challenge, love the burn of a tough workout, and the feeling of knowing I am building a body that will carry me strong and capable through every season of life. For me, fitness isn’t just about today—it’s about making sure I am still out there, moving, lifting, and keeping up long into my golden years.

Having the opportunity to set the foundation for a love of fitness in our kids is my motivation for coaching. Every class is exciting and different. I love seeing them push beyond what they thought they could and the confidence it gives them not only in the gym but in life.
