CrossFit, Longevity, and Teens/Kids

CrossFit Jackson is a health and fitness coaching facility. We affiliated with CrossFit in 2007 as the 4th CrossFit gym in Tennessee.  We’ve been active in CrossFit for over a decade and have years of experience in transforming lives!

We have a team of CrossFit L1 and L2 coaches with decades of combined experience. Our team is passionate about helping you reach your personalized goals and giving you the best hour of your day!

What do we do at CrossFit Jackson? 

The CrossFit training program combines the most effective components of weightlifting, gymnastics and high intensity cardio. Each class is coach led. You never have to come in and plan your own workout; just show up and work hard!

CrossFit Jackson does not look like your typical gym. No treadmills, no mirrors. You’ll find barbells, kettlebells, gymnastics rings, ropes, boxes and all the equipment needed to push, pull, squat, jump and lift your way to a strong, fast, healthy human!

We focus on movements that replicate things we encounter in sport and/or our daily lives so that all members will THRIVE out in their community.

CrossFit is designed to improve your capacity in ten general fitness skills: endurance, stamina, strength, power, flexibility, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. In realizing you are only as fit and capable as your weakest skill, we vary our programming so as to not neglect any one component of fitness to offer you the most balanced fitness program. This is what makes CrossFit effectively the most well rounded fitness program available! We do not specialize, but instead want you to be capable no matter what life throws at you.

Who can do CrossFit?

CrossFit Jackson is for those who:

  • want to get healthy and fit but don’t know where to begin on their own
  • want an exciting workout that will have you doing things you never thought you would be able to do
  • think they don’t have time to exercise (our classes are over within 1 hour)
  • want to get faster or stronger for your sport
  • want to be in a community of like-minded, driven, motivated coaches and athletes that know YOU and want the BEST for you

Our CrossFit Jackson community is diverse. We have students, doctors, lawyers, stay-at-home parents, professors, military, law enforcement, retired grandparents and many more. CrossFit works for all walks of life.

What should I expect in class?

Each of our classes are led by a coach from start to finish. We will put you through a warm-up, instruct the movements of the day and actively coach all members throughout the workout.

Sometimes we do skill work, sometimes we do strength work, sometimes we just go run, but whatever is programmed for the day, you can expect an hour long class that is engaging and rewarding.

Each coach is capable of modifying workouts to meet the needs and abilities of all members in the class. One member may be doing box jumps on 24″, another may be jumping on 12″ and someone else may be stepping on 6″. CrossFit is scalable to all levels of fitness and that is what you can expect out of our coaches each day.

Adult Longevity Classes

Our Longevity class is CrossFit designed primarily for ages 55 and up and for those who may be recovering from injury, illness or years of inactivity.

The longevity program is overseen by a licensed physical therapist with knowledge and experience in working with people who are aging or recovering from illness or injury.

Our longevity program meets on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week at 10am. Contact us for additional information.

Youth Classes

CrossFit Preteens (10-14 years old)

Our preteens class meets twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30-5:15.

We offer strength and conditioning and general physical preparedness training for kids ages 10-14. This class introduces kids to different lifts and will involve the use of light barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls and other equipment.

CrossFit Kids (8-9 years old)

Our kids class meets twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-4:15.

Our kids classes are meant to be BIG fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary lifestyles, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children.
